Some politicians prefer an uninformed and apathetic public so that during election time everything is all about a popularity contest instead of a well thought out process. Some times it takes major events like a tragedy, recession, or an economic depression for an entire nation of individuals to wake up and think sobering about how important truth, family, freedoms, security, and the value of human life actually is when it is threatened. Now the vast majority of Americans understand how silly and damaging it to elect a person for the highest executive office in the land, only to find out that they have NO EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE. No wonder Obama, likewise once in power, selected a supreme court justice (the highest Judicial office in America) only to find out that even Elena Kagan had NO JUDICIAL EXPERIENCE.
