 7 Therefore, as you abound in everything: in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that you abound in this also.
whose praise in the gospel is throughout all the churches;
21 For we take care beforehand to see that things are done honorably, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
13 Because of the proof of this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal contribution to them, and to all men,
 14 And they yearn for you in their prayers for you, because of the exceeding measure of the grace of God in you.
 15 Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift!
 1 Now I, Paul, plead with you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ; who when I am with you am lowly, but bold toward you when I am absent from you.
 2  I beg you that when I am present I may not have to be as bold as I intend to be against some, who think of us as acting according to the flesh.
 3 For though we live in the flesh [body of flesh], we do not war after the flesh;
 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds,
 5 Casting down all our own decisions, and every barrier that is raised up against the wisdom from God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
 7 Look at the obvious facts. If any man is confident in himself that he is Christ's, let him consider that just as he is Christ's, even so we are Christ's also.
which the Lord has given us for building you up and not for your destruction,
 10 "For his letters," they say, "are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible."
 11 Let such a person consider this, that as we are in letters when we are absent, we will be in deed when we are present.
1 Would to God you would bear with me a little in my folly; and indeed you do bear with me.
 3 But I fear, lest that as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
 4 For if someone comes preaching another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit from that which you have received, or another gospel from the one you accepted, you might well tolerate him.
 7 Have I committed an offence in humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I have preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?
I have kept myself from being burdensome to you in all things, and so I will continue.
 10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man will stop me from this boasting in the regions of Achaia.
 11 Why? Because I don't love you? God knows [I do].
 12 But what I do, I will continue to do, so that I may cut off occasion from those who would like to find an opportunity to be regarded equal to us.
 13 For these are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
 14 And no wonder, for Satan transforms himself into an angel of light.
 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers are also transformed [masquerading] as ministers of righteousness;  whose end will be according to their works.
 22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I.
 23 Are they ministers of Christ? (Speaking foolishly in boasting), I am all the more so; in labors more abundant
 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, so I would not be exalted above measure.
 8 I pleaded with the Lord three times about this thing, that it might depart from me.
 9 And he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you; for my strength is made perfect in weakness." So I will gladly boast in my infirmities, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.
 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then am I strong.
 20 For I fear, that when I come I will not find you as I would wish you to be; and that I will not be found by you as you would wish to find me; so that perhaps there may be debates, envying, wraths, strife, backbitings, whisperings, arrogance, and disorder.
 21 I am afraid that when I come again, my God will humble me before you; and that I may grieve over those who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity and fornication and unrestrained lust which they have committed.
 3 Since you seek proof of Christ speaking in me; who is not weak toward you, but is mighty in you.
 4 For though he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. And though we are also weak in him, we will live with him by the power of God toward you.
 5 Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith; prove yourselves. Do you not know yourself, that Jesus Christ is in you — unless you are reprobates [tested, rejected]?
 6 But I trust that you know that we are not reprobates.
 7 Now I pray to God that you do no evil; not so that we might appear approved, but that you will do what is honest, even if we might seem to be reprobates.
 8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.
 9 We are glad when we are weak and you are strong; and we also pray for your perfection.
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen.
 7 Therefore, as you abound in everything: in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that you abound in this also.
